Paw Suite — Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to all extensions in the Paw Suite, including but not limited to: ReviewPaw, RedditPaw, JobPaw, ListingPaw, TubePaw, NewsPaw, DealPaw, MailPaw, CodePaw, and RecipePaw.

What Data We Collect

Our extensions collect the following data only when you actively click the extension icon and initiate an action:

• Webpage content — text from the currently active webpage (such as product reviews, comments, job postings, article text, or listing details) is read solely to generate an AI-powered summary or analysis. The specific content depends on which extension you are using.
• Your API key — stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. Never transmitted to our servers.
• Daily usage count — a simple counter stored locally to enforce free tier limits. Never transmitted.
• User preferences — such as saved background text (JobPaw) stored locally for convenience. Never transmitted.

How We Use Your Data

Webpage text content is sent to the DeepSeek AI API (api.deepseek.com) exclusively for generating summaries, analyses, or other AI-powered outputs. We do not store, log, or retain any webpage content or user data on our own servers. The AI API processes the request and the response is displayed directly in the extension popup.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history or browsing activity
• Financial information or payment data
• Cookies or tracking data
• Data from pages you do not actively choose to analyze
• Any data when the extension is not actively in use

Third-Party Services

Our extensions use the DeepSeek API (api.deepseek.com) to process text and generate AI-powered outputs. Webpage text is sent to this API only when you actively request a summary or analysis. Please refer to DeepSeek's Privacy Policy for their data handling practices.

Data Storage

All user settings (API key, usage count, preferences) are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. No data is stored on external servers owned or operated by us.

Permissions

Our extensions request only the minimum permissions necessary:

• activeTab — to read content from the current page only when you click the extension icon
• storage — to save your API key and usage count locally
• Host permissions — to access specific websites relevant to each extension's function and to communicate with the AI API

Children's Privacy

Our extensions are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
